Celebration Baptist is excited to offer Upward Basketball for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. We just ended our 3-5th grade basketball league. We had 270 players and about 100 volunteers that took part in this league. We shared the gospel with all of the players at the pizza party night and we shared with the parents who attended our Upward Awards Night. We look forward to seeing God change lives. He has greatly blessed our Upward league and we look forward to each year that brings another opportunity to share Christ with so many in our community.

Upward Basketball's Purpose
Upward Basketball offers a break from the norm. The primary focus of Upward is to develop the winner in EVERY child, not just a few. While keeping this goal in mind, we are able to build a league that promotes:
Equipping coaches and referees to minister by providing extensive teaching tools and resources.
Allowing the coach to focus on ministering to children and their families instead of game strategy, by having a set substitution system where all players are allowed equal playing time and equal opportunity for improvement.
Encouraging each player with a game-day award following every game.
Providing opportunities to see changed hearts and lives among children, family members, and volunteers who experience an Upward ministry.
Maximizing the family schedule by having only one hour of practice and one game each week.
Keeping sportsmanship and competitiveness in proper perspective by not maintaining standings in any division.
